Terms of Service
Last updated: April 19, 2026
These terms are a plain-language version of the full agreement. Please read them; by using Lictor you agree to be bound by them.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Lictor, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
- You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.
- One person or one business per account. Account sharing is not permitted.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Run ads that violate the policies of the connected ad platform (Meta, Reddit, TikTok, etc.) — their policies apply on top of ours.
- Upload content you don't own or don't have permission to use.
- Promote illegal goods or services, misleading health claims, or sexually explicit content.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the AI models powering Lictor.
- Use the service to harass, defraud, or impersonate anyone.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, encryption, or our other security controls.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund.
4. Intellectual Property
- Your content: You own the product photos, briefs, and other materials you upload. You grant Lictor a license to use those materials to provide the service to you (including sending them to AI providers for creative generation and to ad platforms for publishing).
- Generated creatives:The creatives we generate are yours to use for your advertising. AI-generated content may not be copyrightable in every jurisdiction — that's a fact about AI law, not a Lictor-specific choice.
- Lictor IP:Lictor's software, designs, and brand are ours. Using the product doesn't transfer any of that to you.
5. Payments and Credits
- Lictor is billed in prepaid credits. Credits are consumed as you generate ads.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store card numbers.
- Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable except where required by law or at our sole discretion (e.g. a confirmed service outage or accidental double-charge).
- Money spent on connected ad platforms (Meta ads budget, Reddit ads budget, etc.) is billed by those platforms directly to the payment method on your connected account. Lictor does not fund your ad budget.
6. Third-Party Platforms
Lictor publishes ads on your behalf to platforms you connect. Those platforms' own terms govern what happens on them. We're not responsible for their uptime, approval decisions, account suspensions, or policy changes.
7. Termination
- You may cancel your account at any time from Settings → Account.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or applicable law.
- On termination, we delete your personal data per our Privacy Policy. Credits are forfeited.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee any specific business outcome from advertising. Ad platforms can and do reject, pause, or suspend campaigns for reasons outside our control.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lictor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice with a reasonable notice period before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the new Terms.
